# Troops

*Troops are formidable allies, ready to lay down their lives to defeat incredible creatures. They are recruited from the barracks and play a vital role in completing quests.*

To send troops on missions, you’ll need to spend resources such as food, iron, or wood, depending on the type of troop. As your level increases, the cost in resources and the time required to recruit them will also grow.

Each troop belongs to a specific civilization, gaining unique benefits when led by a hero of the same civilization:

| Troop | Civilization | Cost |
| --------- | ------------ | ----------------------- |
| Hoplite | Greeks | 1x Food 0,5x Iron |
| Archer | Greeks | 1x Food 0,5x Iron |
| Minotaur | Greeks | 1x Food 1x Iron 1x Wood |
| Mercenary | Egyptians | 1x Food 0,5x Iron |
| Lancer | Egyptians | 1x Food 0,5x Iron |
| Sebau | Egyptians | 1x Food 1x Iron 1x Wood |
| Berserk | Nordics | 1x Food 0,5x Iron |
| Hunter | Nordics | 1x Food 0,5x Iron |
| Jotunn | Nordics | 1x Food 1x Iron 1x Wood |

Additionally, the effectiveness of each troop varies based on the type of mission, offering more or less effectiveness depending on the mission:
