# Militia

**Militia are temporary troops** that players can acquire either for **free or through purchases**. You’ll receive a specific amount of these troops, which you can use even if you don’t own the corresponding NFT. Once these troops are used, they will no longer be available until you acquire more through future rewards or purchases.

Unlike standard troops, Militia cannot be trained. Instead, they are a **limited-use resource**: once they’re spent, they’re gone. Notably, **these troops can exceed the current maximum capacity of houses**, allowing you to bolster your forces beyond normal limits temporarily.

Militia troops **will be given out randomly, identifiable by a sword icon**. However, they will **NOT include any mythological troops.**

This new functionality aims to add a strategic layer to the game, letting you experiment with extra forces without needing a permanent commitment.

These troops, which we’ll refer to as Militia, will be obtainable through various channels, including the **battle pass, roulette, and chests.**
